It's fun just to mess around with. I hardly ever make anything particularly musical.

I'll never understand why people think Macs are good for music. Beyond Logic and the ever limited garageband everything else is a Windows program that has to be adapted for Mac.. plus most free VSTs won't work - ick it's just a mess.
If you like the way a Mac looks (and looks are about the only thing about it) so much then you can get a Linux/Mac/Windows and be happy with all of em. personally I'm happy using my PC. |

Fruity Loops works very well for most styles of music. I've been using it for about five years now and I've gotten some great results.
