Default MIDI Keyboards.

Hey all, I have just recently started a band, and am loving it!

I'll get straight to the point, I want a MIDI keyboard, but basically know nothing about them. First of all, I want to be able to loop sounds. For example, in my band we only have one guitarist, so if I wanted to do a solo, say with the chords from the chorus backing the solo, I should be able to record the chords when I play the chorus, and then loop then later, when I play the solo over the top.

And secondly I want to be able to play synthesizers with filters (like reverb, delay etc), like how you would use FL Studio or Ableton. Or I guess I would probably need to preset the filter over the synth. But as long as I can use the filters somehow.

Check out what the guitarists from Yeah Yeah Yeahs uses;

(have to remove those spaces)

I've seen quite a few of them lately and know that they can do the job. At the start, he is playing two different syntheisizers at the same time, on that one tiny keyboard lol, I want to be able to do that too.

Sooooo, could someone advise me on what I would need to be able to do all this stuff? I don't have alot of cash, so the cheapest option would be best, but I just need an idea to get me started, i'm sure ebay or something will have a good deal on it, and I won't mind saving up if needed.
