BOSS 20xl Loop station data to computer..?
How might I save audio tracks from my BOSS 20xl loop station onto my computer? Seems like the answer ought to be simple enough, but I fear it's not or will require $ for right equipment....

It doesn't look like that unit is made to export saved phrases onto a computer via USB or Firewire, so you're really left with only one option if you're not willing to spend much money:
Connect the outputs to the input of your sound-card. To do this, you'll probably need to sum the R/L channels to a single stereo jack using that type of connector. Once you've achieved that, then simply google "Audacity" and download it for free, then use it to record what's coming out of your pedal.

Alright, that's about what I was thinking. It recommends in the manual that you should back up files to an "MD", but I don't know what that stands for. Mother Drive?? Mini-Disc? Memory Drive...? But if I can just record directly to my computer, that should be good enough for my purposes. Forgot about Audacity, that makes it easier too.
Thanks. |
