Use what you have, man. Audacity IS free, and it wouldn't hurt to download it, but if SoundForge is your software of choice, the best thing for you to do is maximise both your knowledge of and skill with it- looking for a solution in some other software- unless what you have simply doesn't perform the functions you need-is an endless circle. Become an expert w/ SF. You'll feel and work much better.
