Zoom HD8
I see all these posts are from a year and more ago. but I've just got to say, I bought the HD8 about shoot, 4-6 months ago; and it is the best recorder/practice unit I've ever owned!! My manual is fairly large, and I'm like others, not too tech-savy, so I read the manual, later read it again; and am reading it a 3rd time as I try doing the many different things I can do on this nice machine!
Yes, because it works for me, I have to praise it! I had the MRS-1044 before and that was like what y'all were describing, complicated to use, manual not really teaching anything or not making any sense. The HD8 works so much easier, the rhythm changes which were a nightmare on the 1044 are so easy on the HD8! Yes I've had problems, but every recorder I've ever owned I've had problems with. I've practiced pretty much every day with it since I bought it and even then I've used maybe only 5% of which it is capable! I also got it online either on American Musical Supply or Musicians Friend at a reduced price! I feel bad y'all got bad units or bad manuals, etc; but believe me, this thing rocks and does everything it says in the manual (so far), and it has a cd burner and I've already hooked it into the computer, even tho I have no music files. I recorded, but forgot to zero the project first, so the hard drive started recording at the spot I had warmed up at, so I learned a big lesson there, and just deleted the recording and will start recording at zero every time no! Maybe what I got was an upgraded unit after Zoom saw all the problem posts! |
