Plz Help!!! Fruity Loops 6 Recording Help

I got a problem with the FL(fruity loops) 6 programme..
I know that this progrm can record but I can't...
I don't know why and I can't understand what am I supposed to do...
I press te record button but it doen't record and I can't even see
where it records...
I recently put a PCI sound card(terratec phase 22) and the cd of
this progrm was with it..
anyone who has used this progrm or some other that
works like it plz help!!
