What a blast.
I like that city, Peoria, never been there though. Just never understood why people dont move out of Chicago to Peoria, Springfield, Rockford or Davenport/Quad Cities.

That must have been fun playing disc golf where ya went. I just recently hooped at 3 parks in Davenport last week

If you've never been to Peoria then why do you like it?

They just held the PDGA World Championships there, so they have a great Disc Golf community at least. Not sure about the rest of the city, although I did see some great architecture there. My main reason for going was to play Sunset Hills, since they installed new baskets and cement tee pads for the Championships. Every time I've played there it was temp rubber pads and those suck.

They forgot licking your finger and holding it up to test the wind.

I'll let OH demonstrate that one.

I've been asked to DJ the next tournament at the prison again. This time Dynamic Discs will be there covering the event. This is a huge step forward for our area, and we'll be sneak-peaking the new Gold course that some of my 'colleagues' have been working on (and me a little bit, I've been tasked to design/build a few small bridges for it). This new Gold course (not named yet, so that's what we call it) will bring in more people, coverage, revenue, and hopefully pro championships like this:

Economic Impact

... The tournament will bring 288 of the world’s best disc golfers and thousands of fans to the area and ring up as much as $2 million in economic impact.
Personally, I have one more tournament to get through, and then I'm concentrating all my time on strength training and endurance until next spring, but this should keep me occupied on the off days. Well, besides my job anyway.
