My review of it:
Spoiler for Sir Spoilsalot:

A throw-back Brian Earhart ace at the GBO last year. Brian is an outstanding ambassador of the sport, and a great person. His brother Tommy too. I had the pleasure of watching Tommy park the 538 ft par 4 hole 11 at Dellwood a couple years back. Such an incredible sight to see first hand, but a 391 ft ace... well, that's the stuff of legends.

My team mate and me managed to squeak out a 1st place win at the last night of Thursday Putting Leagues, and it's been at a bar where Mr. Blotto will be playing tomorrow night but I'll be at the last night of the Prison Putting Leagues when that's happening, which kinda sucks.
https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...c5&oe=5E995521 The regular tournament season around here is about to kick off! Next weekend is the first of many. |

The last day of Prison Putting leagues was a lot of fun. It sold out as expected, and the weather was perfect for tailgating before hand. Afterwards, it was great to see all the winners receive their trophies and each one of them gazed at theirs with wide eyed delight. They were created by yours truly.
I was also pulled aside by the director and was told that I've been invited into the inner circle of the tour series team this year as their marketing/design person, which is quite an honor. With all the video's, logo's, trophies, etc. I've been doing, it feels real good to get recognition for something you love to do. |

Not my phone, just a pic someone posted in the group. Like these:
The line to get in on one of the first nights: https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...0d&oe=5E9456D9 You were able to keep your spot in line with a disc, or in some cases your 3 putters you'd be using: https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...df&oe=5E940304 That all changed though when they switched over to handing out tickets, which was your only way in. https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...b4&oe=5EA68467 https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...c1&oe=5E8DDE68 https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...f0&oe=5EA6DF90 https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...3d&oe=5E91E2D1 Top basket is double points: https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...41&oe=5E91D501 https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...99&oe=5E98D757 https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...b1&oe=5E919D67 I'm the farthest person in this pic. https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...2d&oe=5EA70E6A |
A couple of friends of mine featured on the DiscTV YT page. I helped build a course with these two about a decade and a half ago. Their work ethic would cripple lesser men. Not even kidding. I'm almost certain they're cyborgs.
These video's were done sometime around the early 00's: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WO50NARtF3Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jyj0X9CXrOE&t=40s |

March is National Women's History Month, so I can't think of a better way to honor that than showcasing the pioneering women of the disc golf world here in the Disc Golf Thread. First up:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0n6Rc7rwayY I still have holes 4-12 and 19-27 out of a total of 27 to go. |
There's a course near me that no one likes to play, so it might be the only one I play for a while. I have my own baskets too, so I'll probably make a trip out to a spot I've been scouting to put a course in (which is a total pipe dream), which is pretty secluded and void of people. Set up my baskets and create some nice fairway lines. There's a few water hazards too. It'll be pretty sweet and I'm actually looking forward to it.

The brakes have been firmly applied to quite a few of the projects we had brewing, but I'm still in design mode with some new tee signs for one of our local courses. |

Currently in the DG artwork queue:
The first tournament trophies are just about finished, and the course hole sign design has been finalized, I just need to create the mapping for each hole and there's 27 of them with some having multiple tee positions and target locations. That players guide is gonna take some work though. Here's what the last one looked like if anyone's curious: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VCE...ew?usp=sharing |
Make that 2 tournament players guides.

Ok, so I just found out that one the tournament guides will be for the 2020 Illinois State Championships.
How about that for nostalgia. They used my doodle back in 2002 and now this. I'll have to throw the doodle in the mix somewhere. https://media2.giphy.com/media/rVbAzUUSUC6dO/200.gif |
Anybody here know of this guy, Jeremy Koling?
Is he considered good - and what is his personality like? |

The tournament director for the 2003 ISDGC sent the few of these that are left to the Illinois State Disc Golf Museum to be displayed forever. I'm officially in. Not by virtue of having thrown well, but by virtue of the creation of an inspiring icon for the community in the earlier days of the history of the sport. I drew it in '99 or '00 and I'd always bring my marker and touch it up when needed. Everybody loved that tree until it fell back in the late 00's after this all took place. I'm honored and humbled to say the least.

Philo and Nikko are down the street right now practicing for this weekends tournament at Dellwood. Yours truly just happens to be the guy who created the Tournament Guide and promo spot:
