I'll be heading out on Sunday and returning next week. I even made a nice PDF of my route all mapped out with times, mileage, addresses, and links to each place I'll be staying at. I uploaded it to my Googley Drive so I can access it from my phone. |

Not sure what a Hols is but thanks?
Denver was nice. Playing at 8300 ft above sea level out in the mountains was a challenge but lots of fun and beautiful. I started out in Des Moines with a B-Day round put together by my good friend Matt. Sunday Drivers is the club and these guys can throw a mile. https://i.imgur.com/lzoAUjj.jpg?1 An "Almost B-day Ace". I chained out, or bounced off the chains on my drive (yellow disc), but I'll take it! https://i.imgur.com/Wl8ffY3.jpg?1 The AirBnB I stayed at was incredible: https://i.imgur.com/R8cl9bz.jpg?1 After Des Moines, I drove another 5 hours to Kearney NE to stay for the night and play Cottonmill DGC. I left my favorite disc in the basket of the last hole, but luckily it was there the next morning. Whew! https://i.imgur.com/nTVoQZ3.jpg?1 Then I finally made it to Denver. https://i.imgur.com/jaGrSJP.jpg?1 View from the Hotel room: https://i.imgur.com/zOVT3BG.jpg?1 I took a scooter ride through downtown to Billys Gourmet Hotdogs. One of the funnest rides I've done in a while, and my friend took a pic of me trying to figure out the Lime rental stuff on my phone: https://i.imgur.com/ktv7kZk.png Continued in next post... |
...continued from previous post:
We stayed a few blocks from Sculpture Park, where Goose played about a month earlier: https://i.imgur.com/t90tOuV.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8p-UuKaz10k We took in some sights at the Denver Botanic Gardens: https://i.imgur.com/Bvuw00n.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/5kyna3m.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/wJgxyNS.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/neRIb4Y.jpg?1 Then, it was time to golf. Birds Nest DGC was nice: https://i.imgur.com/nJAp7Qv.jpg?1 ...but there's nothing like Beaver Ranch. Breathtaking views and some tough lines. As they say, the pics don't do it justice: https://i.imgur.com/gx4IFcQ.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/DDTZjej.jpg?1 https://i.imgur.com/rdahpGa.jpg?1 Back to work I go... |
I almost forgot... the PDF I made for navigating and planning (Yorke would be so very proud of me):
