Getting 400+ people through this course and them having a great time was worth the no sleep or food for 2.5 days. We had a team at check-in, another team handled scoring and questions about using uDisc (lots of those), another team handled beer/water, the tournament director did the players meetings, and I handled sound and announcements. We all helped with set-up and tear down.

We had 72 throwers, 4 on each card of 18 holes for a 9am, Noon, and 3pm rounds each day, Sat and Sun, and it went over really well. Having that PA system always helps too. lol

Looking forward to next year.

that is a full on weekend..gosh no grub..not clever need to feed..gives energy and fulfilment to boot....
I have been in a Prison..a London one Wormwood Scrubs...well known but it was NOT me in jail....I have known many walks of life and just gives you knowledge of the big wide world we thrive in..mostly.
You pigging out today no doubt...Minx missing you....

We had Domino's pizza delivered, so I did choke down a piece but that's about all I could stomach of that abomination for what they try to pass off as pizza.

My mates Jo and Graham staying in their French Holiday Home still
last year Graham was so so ill he nearly died...
The food in Hospitals here has a reputation for being crap.

He got dished up an unrecognisable excuse for a Pizza..it was binned of course, and Jo bought in Food for him..
..The Guy was ill and they dish him up crap...do not get that at all...
I know the food can be rough in places where they are catering for huge amounts of people...but that is no excuse really.

So were you pleased with your D.J ing..
They let you out then haha..

Trying to finish up the latest Tournament Guide and this is the worst week for it. I just got loaded up with a ton of detail work at my job, way more than normal. Combine this with the 11 hrs I spent on Saturday and a few more hours on Sunday working on disc golf stuff and I'm about to pop a circuit over here.

It felt good to just lay around for most of yesterday and watch some football, but we're back at it today.

Oy.

This will (probably) be my last TG or any other kind of artwork outside of work until next year. I'm burning out.

Man.

Yes my friend, catches up with you whatever your age. Husband's taxi Ambulance arrived before 7.00am and has taken him to Poitiers Universal Hospital and just going through tests for the bowel cancer he had a few years ago. He is amazing though laughing about silly things like he normally does.
He has had nothing to eat since Monday and know he is just thinking food now, so when he gets back later today I shall have his favourite tucker ready...
Sometime Plonk you have to step back a pace and look at what is more important to you.

I hope all goes (went) well for him. Seems like a brave soul.

Yes indeed. Taking a step back for a bit of a breather.

DianneW 09-29-2021 01:55 PM

He is in real good spirits and the Standard of care was unbelievable..own room with shower etc TV and offered lunch or whoever he wanted, but has to see the Consultant as a slight issue..that will get sorted.
He is a joker P. and told some on the edge joke to the Anaesthetist who promptly repeated them to his French colleagues. who all roared....much more social than you could possibly imagine.
thats it....

Plankton 09-29-2021 02:41 PM

New Prostate Exam Joke
A man goes to the doctor for his first prostate exam. While the Doctor is performing the exam, he says to the patient, " Don't be embarrassed, its common for men to get an erection during this part of the exam".

The patient answers "I don't have an erection"

The Doctor replies "I know, I do"

I took the plunge and bought the Disc Golf Network full coverage for the weekends events, which is the U.S. Disc Golf Championships and the Throw Pink Womens Championships. It's been rainy and dreary all week, so this should satisfy my addiction for the moment. Gonna be nice out after tomorrow though. Gotta go gotta throw.

I got out and played a couple rounds on Saturday for the first time in a while, maybe a week or so, which is rare. I won the 1st round on a $5 bet, only because of a 3-putt from my competitor on the last hole. 2nd round was best shot doubles and we missed 1st place by one stroke to a team who basically plays the course we were on every single day for years. We lost with a -14. wtf... I still consider that a win anyway, we just didn't get to collect the $$. lol

For todays after work round, which is gonna be a rematch of Sat's round 1, I'll need to keep this mindset. Just replace "Bogeys" with "Missed Birdie Putts":

https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...89&oe=61935716

I can usually get it close the basket, just can't putt for **** lately.

Thanks for tuning in. More tuning will commence... shortly. Tune in next time when we tune it back up. Stay... tuned... my friends?
