Hate teams like this.

This Costa guy seems pretty good.

Cuthbert 06-20-2018 01:17 PM

Didn't know anything about the one though tbh. Obviously still his goal.

Cuthbert 06-20-2018 02:04 PM

I guess that was a predictable day. The big hitters win with their big hitting strikers getting the goals.

Tomorrow's games:

Denmark vs Australia
France vs Peru
Argentina vs Croatia

Denmark/Australia draw. Went for Argentina to win but that could be a tight game. If Messi plays well then they win the game, for me.

Ol’ Qwerty Bastard 06-20-2018 02:15 PM

denmark will win 2-1

Could happen. Not saying it won't, just think Australia really need to go for it. I can't see Peru getting anything and Denmark will be happy with a draw I reckon.

What do you think about Messi? Guys are really doubting him. I would love it ala Kevin Keegan if he bags a hat trick tomorrow. I can't believe the criticism he gets. Come on Leo :)

Yeah. It was when you zipped back up that the problem started. Gotta be careful, man! OUCH!
(Cue someone posting the Something About Mary scene)....

Why do we have American non soccer guys banting in it?

Cos some people have to be involved even if they haven't the slightest clue about or interest in the subject. It's a form of insecurity. Plus they're ****s. :D

Spain should be pissing this 3/4-0.

****ing things! Ruined the second-to-last World Cup! Bastards.

I thought Iran played well really. Was gutted they didn't get their goal. Deserved it. Though I'm backing Spain.

Did you think so? I didn't see all the games, can't comment on Portugal, but it seems with the others they just kind of scraped through. Uruguay were ****, Suarez just got that goal as an almost OG, bouncing off the defender's knee. Or was that Costa? Getting confused now. Age will do that to you. Spain should have been much better. 1-0 against Iran? It's not the way champions play.

Cuthbert 06-20-2018 03:15 PM

It was predictable in the sense that the results weren't in doubt. Spain were in total control apart from one moment at the end. Knew Portugal/Uruguay would have enough.

No it's not a trouncing but it's still early in the competition. Germany weren't great at the start of the last World Cup and look what happened.

Sure, but given that Spain drew with Portugal (a far superior team to Iran, let's be honest here) 3-3, to only beat the Islamics by one goal was pretty poor I feel. U Are Gay just didn't seem bothered. Look at the last few minutes of the first half: as they said on RTE commentary, they were playing it out as if it was the end of the match and all they had to do was retain the ball. There was another 45 minutes plus yet to go, and still they were acting as if the game was over. Bo-ring.
