No. There really isn't. Our problem, as ever, apart from the fact that we are ****, is that we scored early. Once we do that, we can NEVER hold any sort of a lead, and always end up letting the other team in. I mean, for ****'s sake, a ****ing own goal, a penalty and a really bad pass that led to a goal in a match of such importance? I'm glad we didn't make it: we'd only have disgraced ourselves on the world stage, as we always do. Giants Stadium '94 notwithstanding, we're not good enough. We need to forget about the next two world cups and try to get a ****ing team together. And we need a new manager: what the hell was he doing leaving two of our best players out for no reason? Jesus! What a total embarrassment. Fair play to Denmark, they completely deserved the victory, and they basically walked it after twenty or so minutes.

no seamus coleman = no ireland. i'm still upset about his injury. he's such an underrated defender. not just physically, but he's a great leader and incredibly smart.

Yeah but I was thinking more of Long and Houlihan. Christ, McClean works his socks off but there's no point if there's nobody there when he passes... or, worse, if it's a Dane! :rolleyes:

long is alright, think he's a little too inconsistent though. haven't seen much of Houlihan but he's a Villa lad so i'll give him the pass.

Long works hard, and he's often the one on the end of a pass that would otherwise go into the stands. Houlihan is one of those guys who can organise and lead, sort of a latter-day Roy Keane. Maybe.

Seriously, one of our worst performances ever, and certainly our worst under Martin O'Neill. I feel heads will roll after this. No real disgrace not qualifying - who expected us to, after Saturday's performance? - but to go out in such a humiliating fashion. Something has to change. Expect calls for a change in management I would think.
