I must say, I was amazed to turn on the match (after I had sorted Karen for the afternoon it was all but over) to see 0-0 with 84 minutes gone! Seemed like Brazil were playing badly. I mean, Costa Rica? But then they showed the qualities that have won them this competition, how many, 5 times? CR seemed to be big into the delay tactics, though that cost them in the end with the second goal. I mean, eight minutes extra time when it was supposed to be six? Where did that come from? Still, Brazil did look like they deserved their win. Got to love Coutinho! :D

Easily? To my unsophisticated eye Brazil looked a lot like Argentina until the lost time. It was nil nil at 90 minutes and like Argentina they were applying constant pressure just not finishing. Costa Rica’s goalie is a bad ass, btw.

How long do they get away from league play to play as a national team?

Brazilian league is from January to September I think so it's being played right now, vast majority of their squad play in Europe though which is August to May, so about 4 weeks.

This doesn't include international breaks during domestic seasons which last two weeks.

All they need to do is beat Nigeria, if Iceland don't beat Croatia then Argentina are through. If Iceland do beat Croatia (they won't) then Argentina need to better Iceland's goal difference. So just need to win by one more goal than Iceland if they beat Croatia.
