This
is why we love the game! :D |
1/3 today. The two bankers failed. These things can happen in football.
Tomorrow's games: Sweden vs South Korea Belgium vs Panama Tunisia vs England My picks are in bold. Not touching the England one :) |

Go South Korea. They will become cyborg soccer ninjas one day.

A man, a plan, a canal, Panama. :) Read it backwards. |
A lack of dominance from the big hitters. Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Germany, these are the hot favourites and they've all dropped points. This has all happened before England have kicked a ball though and if they don't produce anything it means nothing.
A good performance tomorrow could really put us in everyone else's minds and send out a message, especially when the other teams have failed to lay down a marker. Then again it could go the other way and our team does nothing again and fluffs it's lines. Not counting on anything. Hope the team turns up tomorrow. Sir Harry Edward Kane, of England, needs to announce himself on the international stage. Will be interesting. Quote:
Yeah I missed it. |
Good luck to ya, Monkey Man! :D

Can't wait mate. Pacing up and down here. Still over two hours to go.
England's Lions to roar at 7pm. Vardy to score and lift his shirt up to reveal "Free Tommy Robinson" written on his vest. Do it for cheddar cheese, for chicken tikka masala, and for Churchill. |

Panama holding Belgium atm.
I'm yet to see Belgium have a performance that makes me think they are serious contenders. They weren't great in 2014 or 2016. They should be swatting the Panamanians like flies. |
Belgium are certainly not finishing Panama off. Maybe they do have a plan. Half time and big hitters like Hazard, Lukaku and De Bruyne have not been as impressive as I would have expected. 0-0. Great first half result for Panama.
Edit: Sorry Monkey, just saw your post. :shycouch: |

we can’t score against a team that let the Swiss knock in 6 goals ffs :D

(I was actually referring to the Panamanians, linking to my previous palindrome thing, but a good pun is a good pun). Quote:
Finally the Belgies score! About bloody time! |
Should finish 3/4-0 to Belgium now.
|
Panama ain't lying down though. That was a decent effort, even if it was off-target. At least they're getting up there. And Belgium haven't capitalised on their lead as they should have by now.
|
Mertens is such a good player. Crazy he's in his 30's.
|
A decent strike.
Hopefully we won't need to, but if we do need something from the Belgium game, play the team not the names. These guys are nothing special. The US should have beat them four years ago. Wales beat them twice. England's Lions can get a result vs this Belgian side. |
2-0 Lukaku. De Bruyne great assist.

Jerusalem blasting out full pelt. Just chucked some plastic garden chairs at the Frenchmen next door. Must be England  |
can’t catch the game but will be hoping for the best. Rashford and Lingard both to score >>>
|
Bought a crate of Carling. Wearing my England flag. Signed the Tommy Robinson petition. Baddiel and Skinner on full blast. Rivers of blood flowing through my veins. Come on England!

St George's Crosses flying from cars and hanging from windows. Will be a big game for Sir Harry Edward Kane (of England). A top notch footballer. Needs to step up. |
with the big teams fumbling out of the gate this could be a very positive tournament for the english boys
|
|
Started well.
Tearing them to pieces here. Keep it up lads. Q, check out Sterling's sitter later :) |
1-0 England.
Sir Harry Edward Kane, of England  Never in doubt. This lad is one of the rare footballers who lives up to his hype. Well done Harry. |
