Default The English Football Thread

Well it`s the new season on Saturday & I thought it`s deserving of a thread in here as i`m sure there must be a least a couple of football fans in here.Anyway as there`s not much happening right now i`d just like to say 2 things.

1. All you Americans will have to make do with it being called Football , I would die sooner than use the term 'soccer'.

2. Liverpool paid £7 million for Peter Crouch ?
All I can say is there must be a hell of a lot of sides splitting in Southampton right now.

It could've been worse. Actually, no, it couldn't. He's a big useless tart.

EDIT: Birmingham to arse around and finish comfortably in mid-table, as usual. David Dunn to go to the world cup if he's not injured. But he will be.

Chelsea- as much as this pains me, i cant see them finishing anywhere but 1st. their resources and strengh in depth is just silly. duff injured? oh ****- lets bring in wright-phillips.

arsenal- will finish second for me. despite losing vieria we have the best crop of youngsters in the league who are all but ready to be integral now. plus i generally think we're betteerrrrrrrr than united.

liverpool- third, they've got a lot of players over the summer and its given them a depth to match the top 3. maybe not their in the quality yet but i think they can take united. reina is a quality 'keeper.

United- PAH

Arsenal's season depends on how much protection their diving little toerags get from referees. If they get wise to it, they're shagged. If they have Fabregas attempting to replace Vieira, they're shagged.

Hopefully they'll be shagged, arrogant tossers.
