That player = David Villa.

We need a striker in January and maybe a midfielder in January or in the summer.
I'm all for developing youth, but today we had young players and old players.
No mid 20s. I think we need to develop the 18-22 YOs, but we need to strengthen.
If Fergie keeps saying there's no value in the market come January and come next summer, we're going to have to face facts - there isn't money there.
That said, we all know Fergie's youth policy.
He's always displayed faith in youth. But I feel there's a lack of balance.
That speech however was wonderful, until he started banging on about cows in fields.

"We will invest in players when the time is ready. This summer wasn’t the right time as far as I was concerned"

We'll see, who he brings in could be massive.
When you look at transfer flops, you can look at a lot of players.
Bellion, Kleberson etc.
But when you really consider them purchases, in the grander scheme of things - they don't matter. Aquilani however, Liverpool had no spending power and spunked their last 17m on him. That purchase contributed to their decline.
We have a bit of money there, we have to delegate and spend wisely.
In Fergie we trust etc.
But he really really needs to get it right in January or next summer.

Never change.
