Allen was another body in the middle of the park, who didn't do anything wrong today, and made a tackle. And then we got two lucky goals from tottenham errors. About time we had some luck this season.

So yes, when comparing allen to coutinho (who created multiple chances, including the goal), he does offer a bit more control in midfield and a reduced attacking threat, obviously. They're both developing (well, coutinho is a couple of years younger...) I can't imagine any aspect would have improved if gerrard or lucas had been subbed for allen.

So yeah, booyah and all that! Maybe allen will become a feared supersub like I said afterall, haw haw haw!
