I have to completely disagree with you on this one. I think that Henderson (20 million) was a crazy signing, a hugely inflated price due to his Britishness. He doesn't offer much going forward and will struggle with the pressure and expectations from the demanding Liverpool fans. Charlie Adam was a star in a very poor team last year, the amount of hollywood balls he tries that end up in the stands is ridiculous. I expect him to be found out very early on next season. Downing had a decent season last year but I wouldn't consider him top 4 quality, while Andy Carroll is a one-dimensional player who it seems they have decided to build a team around. I'd predict Liverpool to finish seventh or sixth (even lower if Suarez gets injured). (I'm a Chelsea fan by the way )

I don`t think very much of the majority of signings that Liverpool have made either. In an attempt to buy British, they have paid inflated prices for average players who are very run-of-the mill Premiership players. I doubt they`ll even contend in any way for a top 4 position. It seems like Dalglish`s style of management concerning transfers is still entenched in the 80/90s when buying British was still viable.
