City are the other one...they play in a nauseating sky blue.
Supporters of that club are sad, bitter and twisted individuals, whose only purpose in life is to whinge and complain constantly of United's success.
A bit like the rest of the Premiership club fans...only x10.

It's true though.
I mean, I can understand City and L*******l hating United...that's rivalry, but why all the others have to hate beats the shit out of me.

Jealousy perhaps?

Of course it's jealousy, but we also get fed up of hearing how many cups etc the team has won. Some of the armchair fans really annoy me and need to learn humility. We all know what a great team you are and that Ferguson is a great manager and Ronaldo is the greatest player in the world at the moment, we just get fed up of hearing it everyday!

This is not a dig at you I am just saying how other fans think. It's a bit like having a vain friend, after a while you cant stand anymore posturing.

I don't actually hate any team except Birmingham City of course!

The nearest premiership club to Cheltenham is the two Brummie teams but can you find any of their shirts here? no it's all the big four and I really do resent that fact. It spoonfeeds the kids into those teams only.

But that's always going to happen.
L*******l gained a massive out of town following during the 70's and 80's. People like winners.
I'm not too keen on the out of town United fans either and neither are most United fans born and bred in Manchester.
It just grates when you see the hate directed at United at every away match.
When Cantona attacked that fan at Charlton, he did what every United fan wanted to do to twats like that nob who was gobbing off at him from the stands. Drastic yes, but it personified the situation United fans have had to put up with for years...

...just a veiw from the other side here.

Then you'll be pleased to hear that United progressed to the next round of the FA Bowl today, defeating the Tottenham Hotspurs by 3 open field conversions to 1.

I can understand why Cantona did it. I would not be able to restrain myself with the amount of vitriol footballers get, but most teams recieve this. In all honesty though a lot of what I say in this thread (the ribbing) is just friendly banter and I utterly admire Ferguson and now Ronaldo has stopped his constant showboating he has proven to be an unbelieveable player and an asset to the game.

Kevin Keegan has announced he wants to bring in new faces to the Newcastle team.

Peter Beardsley has already expressed interest.
