Well so far looks like it's the other way around. Gerard, who played with him at LFC, is probably the right man to give him the confidence he badly needs. And a fit, confident Coutinho is as good as any playmaker in the PL, including De Bruyne.

Incredible Villa game... they were brilliant but couldn't get past Lloris who had the game of his life. Spurs' forwards were unplayable hence the absurd score. Son must be both the best finisher and the most likeable player in world football?

Yeah they were lol, it was an awful way to lose a game. I think if Eintracht Frankfurt had humped them from the start to finish it would have been an easier result to take.

Although they won the trophy I think they have gained some new fans from Glasgow

Personally I find the worst way to lose is how Barcelona lost to Liverpool in the Champions League semis a few years ago: they were up 3:0 from the first leg, went to Anfield and completely collapsed, losing 4:0. That was painful to watch even as a neutral.

And then there was Man City. Went into the semi-final 3-0 or something up, and just fell apart and ended up being soundly beaten in really the last like ten minutes or so. All that work for nothing in the end. Can't say I was sorry; I support Villa but I'm a follower of Liverpool unofficially.

Huh I wonder if there ever was a scenario where one of the clubs you support could've done a solid for the other one and by the same stroke inflict further humiliation on City. Imagine how crazy that would've been.
