I thought that "this is must be what all metal sounds like to elphenor" was pretty cutting. I'd follow up but I really really don't want to listen to them again after trying so many times to give that album a fair shot.

And the raid on Coventry, during WWII. Don't forget that. Important one, showed how Churchill was ready to sacrifice a whole city for national security. The needs of the many and so on.

Unless of course he always thought of himself as English but just didn't say anything about it.

That particular album goes in hard on the mellotrons and awkward/odd vocal lines though. I doubt I'm going to convince you to check out another album, but any other album of theirs is going to offer something else than The Guessing Game did.

Always the same singer though...

I recently read about someone who bought Yes's Fragile used for a dollar and opened it up to find that the disc was Genesis's We Can't Dance

Yeah Lynott was was definitely Irish, had an Irish parent as well so raised there and ancestry there.

It is odd though it's just parents or grandparents. Country of birth + whatever country your parents or grandparents were born in. Plus eligibility in cases of naturalisation e.g. Raheem Sterling or Diego Costa. I'd be eligible for four national teams under these current rules.

The rules are quite strict compared to other sports though. Eoin Morgan is a born and bred Dubliner with no connection to England but is the England cricket captain. They must allow anyone to play for them.
