Best game of the season. Maybe since the Cup semi final.

We are back.

lul

Bruce looked like he was in tears after the first goal.

@TH

Dunno what you're referring to with Man City but re: Kane, I dunno. From what he's been saying he wants to stay in England and probably at Tottenham. I'd say money talks and if Spurs don't pay the top wages he will go. They might get another year out of him.

I'm talking about the fact that City won't be playing any more Prem matches until March. They said so on MOTD. They're what, seventeen points ahead now, so I doubt anyone could catch them but it seems a little arrogant/silly to be doing that, and I never heard of anyone doing it before.

They've got fixtures in three other competitions to play before then. And March is what, just over two weeks away? Seems pretty normal to me. The FA will decide when league games are played and they will still have to play their final game on the same day as everyone else unless I'm missing something. Its not them being arrogant.

Dunno if you saw the goals yet but I wanted to post this.

Should this thread be merged with the European football thread?

All right, Monkey, let's get to it: buying the Prem title. Let's go.

Well of course clubs generally spend large amounts of money to win the league. My issue with MC, Chelsea and the like is that they essentially won the lottery and then bought the trophy. Chelsea's owner is particularly dodgy and they were very close to going bust before he came in.

The reason I don't have an issue with MU spending large amounts is because they built their wealth through whoring their brand out, same as most other clubs in England. It's their own money that they earned through sponsorship, commercial deals and whatever, as the PL became more popular. It's not the same as what MC have done.

In fact if anything, MU were actually being held back during 05-12 after the Glazer takeover.
