Costa is the best striker on the planet imo when he's on form.
Also Wenger should have left after the FA Cup win a few years ago after the drought. Probably before then in all fairness. Absolutely outrageous that he's still the manager.

wow, never heard that one before. wouldn't crack my top 5, probably not even top 10.
would take auba, griezmann, lewandowski, sanchez, ibra, ronaldo, and suarez over him without a doubt. forgot about cavani, aguero and kane, them lot as well. imo hazard looked more dangerous than costa whenever he slotted in at st this year as well.

As for best striker not sure about that tbh. Messi > Suarez > me > everyone else. |

tbh i think the striker argument is totally just a matter of opinion. depends on what you're looking for. a chance creator, a playmaker, a poacher, set-up man, etc.
also, benteke > messi > suarez

Or a goalscorer?
Job of a striker is to score the goals, Messi and Ronaldo score the most goals but Messi does everything else you named to a world class level as well. Ronaldo is still amazing but is on the decline and I would take Suarez over him now. |

i think you misunderstood my post. actually, maybe my wording was wrong, apologies.
what i mean is that different people might see more value in a different type of striker. i'm guessing goofle's argument for Costa being the best is that when he's in form and playing with the right mindset, he can muscle just about any defender in the league off of the ball. he has a great sense of attacking position and seems to always be able to read the play and drift into the right spot. whereas i would argue someone like auba is better on the grounds that he might not be as talented at actually shooting the ball, but he'll still give you more goals because of how fast he is and how he manages to find the tap ins and through balls. i want a striker who will score consistently, regardless of how he does it. it can be ugly as all **** if it needs to be. just ****ing score. create goals. who the best current striker is kinda just semantics me thinks. also messi shouldn't really count since he plays on the wing, ronaldo can get a pass since he's started playing centrally a lot more over the last couple years.

he played two games as a striker last year. if we're talking best attacker sure, but i think in the initial comments there wasnt anybody insinuating the strikers mentioned were better than messi.
also i just get tired of the messi and ronaldo debate, looking past that for this.
