Yann M'Vila is a very good player. Somebody who lost his way a while back. Should have been playing for Arsenal.

Yeah it was. Made a number of important challenges too. He was a real stand out for us. Lens looked good too and offered a little pace and flair we've been lacking in the middle. Toivonen made an immediate contribution, and those half time changes helped us. Promising performances from Dicks signings. Hopefully enough to persuade Short to further invest before the deadline

For those reasons, coupled with what is for me a correct decision for a penalty shout on Kaboul, I don't understand Sherwoods comment that they were robbed. They just weren't clinical enough.

I like that we're scoring goals, for a club that never scores enough goals, but our defence was just as embarassing yesterday as it has been for the first three weeks, we just weren't made to pay for it as much.

As for Villa, you're right: we weren't robbed, we just went to sleep at the end. Missing Benteke and Delph. That's what happens when you sell your best players. Not a great start for us, but nothing unexpected. Mid to low-table finish, anyone?

That M'Vila I think it was, looks decent. Scored the free kick and pinged some pass to Defoe who should have scored. I'm sure it was him anyway.

Too early yes, but we almost went down last season and at the moment I don't see any reason to think we won't be in a scrap to survive again this year.

Note: anyone notice the opening titles on MOTD: "Wide open title race"? At four games in? Jesus! Of course it's ****ing wide open at this point!

You guys is gonna have to get your **** together if you want to keep that title. Very poor performances. You couldn't afford to have lost Terry, and look what happened. Roman cannot be pleased.

We will be fine. Nowhere near relegation. We've got some serious quality now.

Adama Traore, Jack Grealish, Carles Gil, Jordan Veretout, Jordan Amavi all excellent young players.

Just need to get a striker in before the window shuts.
