I didn't really say good fee, it is a lot, especially for Everton, but they basically swapped Fellaini for him. He is one of the best young strikers in the league. Plus if Lukaku can go for £28m then Benteke will fetch a bit more .
What have you been impressed with re: Mourinho? £110m last season, didn't get close to the title £85m this (so far), if they don't win it he's flopped. |

I don't buy Costa as a top player. He's had one good season. The rest of his career he's been far from prolific.
Should Chelsea not have signed another center half? I know Mourinho and Terry probably wank each other off, but c'mon, is JT really capable of another season at the top flight? |

Costa had an incredible season last season. You could argue it's only "one good season" but he does have a decent record, it's just last season was notably better, and he wasn't just good, he was outstanding.
I do agree that Lukaku is one of the best deals of the summer though. Sure it's a lot of money but every big signing now seems to be a lot of money, and with some of the fees paid for young players already this summer, Everton have arguably got themselves a bargain. CB, Ki should be an incredible signing if you do get him. Seriously. He slipped under the radar in his time at Sunderland in many ways, only really grabbing headlines for a key goal or two. But watching him every week is genuinely a joy. He's patient, he keeps and protects the ball, he usually picks the simple pass but also has the ability to be a little more direct when he needs to be, and he likes to attack. He's box-to-box and he's immensely talented. The papers are all talk of whether or not we'll get a permanent deal for Borini but if we had any chance at all of getting one for Ki, I'd be much, much happier about that. |
