How are you feeling about the game New Years Day then Benteke? I thought we went to Villa Park and bossed it, but it all means **** if you can't score. We created plenty of chances, as we did away at Upton Park recently too, both scoreless draws. Norwich at home even more recently wasn't as good a performance, didn't create many chances at all, scoreless draw.

I think Villa and Sunderland are kinda similar this year. Not scoring many, not leaking many. I'd like to think if we can turn in a performance like we did at Villa Park we could win it, but it probably has 0-0 written all over it.

I think if we lose then the fans will turn on Lambert. It's already started to be fair but I want to give him time, but he very rarely criticises the team & comes across too nice. All he ever seems to say is 'we pick ourselves up and we go again'. Someone posted all the times he's said it after defeats on H&V and I just pissed myself. After games like Palace and Fulham you'd like to hear something like 'we were shit and it wasn't good enough' but he's not like that. Our last 6 games have been wank apart from the first 5/10 minutes vs Man Utd & Swansea and I expect more of the same on Wednesday.

Honestly I think we'll lose. Team needs massive investment, not 500k signings from the lower leagues and £1.5m punts on players from the Czech Republic & Poland. We need another Bent to galvanise everyone & show we are still big time. Randy is actually a billionaire as well, it's bizarre tbh the funds are actually there.

You need another Bent? So you haven't quite plugged the gap left by him (or his loss in form, however you see it)? That sounds awfully familiar.

If I felt more confident in our ability to find the net, I'd be quicker to agree with you and say I think we'll win. I dont fear playing Villa, I'm not nervous about it, but I can't stand the thought of another goalless 90 minutes. If thats how it goes, then Villa will have every chance. If I was gonna go anywhere near it with my acca, I'd go for a home win, but I struggle to be so confident.

I know what you mean about Lambert. Poyet has been quite refreshing in his approach with the media. He gives credit where its due, he holds his hands up to a defeat, he will admit when we arent even good enough, he's even appeared to openly question whether he has what it takes to save this squad when we go out and get hammered. It's not without question at times, but generally he seems to be pretty open and honest. I like what hes trying to do with the squad too, get them to play possession football, play it out from the back, and be patient. It's far from a bed of roses so far, obviously, but there are reasons for us to be happy with what he's doing.

This is a table of the last 12 games. The 12 games Poyet has been in charge. 7 away games, 5 home games. Away at Swansea, Hull, Stoke, Villa, W Ham, Everton, Cardiff; Home to Newcastle, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs, Norwich.

2 wins from 12 is ****ing shocking tbh.

Looks like Fulham & West Ham could go down though .

West Brom only have one win in twelve, but are drawing more games than West Ham. I still kinda fancy West Brom to stay up, but thats not exactly gonna fill their fans full of confidence.

We're unbeaten in four, five in all competitions. Villa at home, Fulham away, Southampton at home and Stoke at home are our next four league games. It's pretty much make or break in January.

Bolton are now 160m in debt.

As bad as things go, at least we are still 'here'. Would be a sad day if a club like Bolton folded. One of the great Northern clubs.

Arsenal have gone top.

Everyone from Swansea down is in the relegation battle tbh. Could say 10th down could be realistically dragged into it.

Villa will be fine.

Man. Utd/Spurs

This will be their 4th home defeat in the league ffs.

Even we've not lost that many.

EDIT - Just as I type that 2-0 ffs .

EDIT - Actually we have, got a bit excited there.
