What is it with playing in red? The colour definitely seems to be what he's interested in, more than simply changing the colour, to anything, to shuffle the deck or whatever. Is it supposed to be some kind of research that suggests that teams that play in red win more games?

Those quotes regarding the keeper are staggering though. By 'he' I mean Tan btw, made it sound like Mackay said it. |

Here's an unrelated note, and I know he wasn't even playing today but I've been thinking about this, do you guys think Wayne Rooney will eventually top Alan Shearer as the Premier League's All Time Top Scorer?
Shearer hit 260 in 441 appearances before retirement. Rooney currently sits on 165 in 361 appearances. Shearer had a superior goal scoring ratio, with a 58.9% chance of scoring per appearance as opposed to Rooney's 45.7% However, Rooney is still only 28 and arguably could have another 8 years left in him. Shearer played the more classic center forward role and was an out and out attacker, who would rarely stray out of the opposition's half and had an exceptional set piece record, whereas Rooney has been known to sit deeper and has found himself utilized in different roles (much to his chagrin at times) But I've got to believe I think in the next (potentially) 8 years Rooney could hit 96 goals which would make him the all time top scorer. What do you guys reckon? |

He basically needs to average 20 goals over the next five seasons. If he stays till retirement (or around 35 years of age) then I have no doubts, but I doubt he will still be around.

No way. Rooney has openly admitted he is the opposite of Giggs and that he won't play for long into his 30s so he'd have to score at a better rate than 20 a season. Won't happen. He might have done it if he didn't get sacked from taking penalties. Should get the England record though.
