'Getting 4th place' and the frenzy over it, makes me rage a little bit tbh. I'm sure teams in the Championship would say the same about promotion. Finish 4th, get on TV more so that you can reach out to every cunt in the Far East who will ditch you when you go shit and spread the 'brand'. Quote:

Thats true, and of course I don't want us to continue to barely survive season by season. You're gonna get relegated at some point anyway. Saying that, I'd rather see us scraping by at the bottom end of the Prem than battling to get back into it.
All I know for sure at this point is that if we do manage to win the league cup and then go down, I'll still be glad we had the extra games. Speaking of things that irritate me about football - the tiredness excuse. Domestic and European cups are a distraction, are they? Get ****ed. |

I remember O'Neill thinking like that and it backfiring spectacularly in 2009. Villa were in the Europa League knock outs, had drawn the first leg and now had to play away in Russia, Villa were also 4th and miles ahead of Arsenal in the league (5 pts ahead plus a game in hand, only 11 games left). O'Neill, instead of playing the strongest team took the 2nd team to the CSKA Moscow 2nd leg.
Villa lost 2-0 & lost momentum, this was the end of February btw, didn't win another league game until May and by then CL hopes were dead and buried (13 pts behind). So not only could we have won a trophy, we missed out on qualifying for the Champions League which looked nailed on. I will never forgive him for that. |

Really poor game of football. FTR I wanted an Arsenal win, more money.
1 point against City & Chelsea is not a good indicator of how they're gonna cope when shit gets real on February the 8th. That run is going to end Arsenal. Also where was Ozil again? #ja |
