Nervy times for us Villans! Ordering spare underwear at this moment ....
Fair play to those who have secured Premiership status this weekend: always good to have your team pull out the stops when it matters. Fluff, I'm still pissed at Benteke: can't afford to have lost him so close to the end. The lack of him on the pitch could be the element that sends us down... Youth is not an excuse; he's a professional, and he was already on a yellow, should know better. Great, emotional send-off for Moyes; fair play to the Evertonians! Fergie too, though it smacks a little of symbolism and a sense of superiority even in this moment.

Better do.
To be honest Villa are safe. I know I'm tempting fate by saying that but I cannot see Arsenal losing and then Sunderland beating Spurs. Not with Arse/Spurs wanting the 4th spot. Hoping for an Arsenal win. |

Watched it on a stream, had Alan McInally and someone else (recognise his voice just don't know his name) saying 'Cathorla' every time he got the ball, did my head in.
Anyway, 'Cathorla' had a good game. It's a shame Newcastle have nothing to play for, Arsenal will win by at least three goals. |

So we're safe then, are we? Can I breathe now...?
In other news: so winning the title for the first time in forty-odd years meant nothing, did it? I would have thought Mancini would have been given the freedom of Manchester after last year, but no, he's fired instead. Ah, football, she is a tough mistress, no?

David Beckham retiring at the end of the season.
BBC Sport - David Beckham to retire from football at end of season Legend and fantastic footballer, done a lot for the game and one of the only truly world class players England has had in my lifetime. Used to pretend I was Becks in the park curling free kicks against the fence |
