Villa are obviously in trouble, but not as much as we are.

We still have to play Villa away, Southampton at home and Stoke at home and I'll be honest, I've already stopped looking at Villa and Wigan. I'm looking at Stoke.

We still have the unpredictability factor with Di Canio and haven't had enough time to see what he can do. If we get a result either today or at Villa Park then I guess things change for us a little, but I think Villa will stay up and it will be between us and Stoke.

Villa are in much better form than either us or Stoke and Stoke are in even worse form than us. It's hard to believe that's possible.

Can't believe that. 3rd goal was really good, ridiculous.

lol at the Newcastle fans smashing up their own city though. They do realise they have to live there afterward, right?

Think we may struggle now. Even Benteke couldn't turn on the magic.

As an aside, weird to see Moyes in the MOTD studio and then onscreen at the game --- clones! Clones! Nah it just looked weird. I thought Everton maybe had not been playing today, but there they were...
!!!

Didn't even get it on target

I think they were aiming for the areas where the sunderland players live, most of them live this side of the tyne apparently, more of a home game for them than us nowadays..

Most, or a lot, live in Durham. A lot of them do live on Tyneside.

Craig Gardner was in the away end today, taking pictures with the fans etc. Legend.

Today made it even clearer that the team we need to be looking at are Stoke. They are in all kinds of bother, and if it continues then 3 points at home against them may be all it takes. Still a way to go yet though. We are still in serious ****.

Speak for yourselves, we are by no means clear either. Will be cheering your lot on agaist stoke, as much as that pains me to say, because I want someone down and I want them down quickly Stoke look the choice teams as there is still plenty of fight and quality in Villa and Sunderland, Hoots should be able to steer Norwich clear. As for us well, I would hope for at least one more win, although WBA away is probably our best bet purely because they have nowt to play for.

Anyone else done the Premier League predictor?

I thought I fancied Wigan to stay up, despite their run-in, until I actually did this. Still, Wigan have managed some unlikely results in the past at this stage of the season.
