Coutinho looks like he's slotted right in. Suarez is on fire.
If you can keep hold of him and make two or three quality signings in the summer then you'll start to look quality again. I've mocked Rodgers in the past but he looks like he's starting to build a team there. Still 2-3 seasons at least from challenging for the title but you're going in the right direction now I think. In other news, what the hell is with your away kit for next season? |

2 center backs (we need one anyway and carragher's retiring) and a quality defensive midfielder (in case lucas gets injured...) and we should be golden. Wouldn't mind spearing coming back too.
Just looked at the kits.....da hell? Away looks like some kind of mind eye trick printed in the 80s, the third like they didn't quite master copy pasting in the design phase (if all the blue was white, or vice versa it'd be passable). Last bought a shirt in....2006, and I definitely won't be getting one this year. |

Warrior to be fair are trying to distinguish themselves from other kit makers. The pictures of the Liverpool kits for next season aren't confirmed (but they will be real), Warrior have designed a lot of kits for J-League teams in Japan, they are crap too. They also design ridiculous boots. This season's home shirt is quite nice though, the gold trim and liverbird is classic Liverpool. lol Don't think Arsenal are getting 4th now. What is it with Arsenal, they melt down every year. |

Only issue we had was how horrifically bad Vermaelen is. Decent performance beside that.
Also have a massive issue with Wilshere. The lad rarely adds much to the team aside from a few dribbles with the ball. I think he should be moved to the wing and put Cazorla back in the middle.

I missed the game btw, haven't even seen the goals.
What's wrong with Wilshire? I haven't seen loads of him but he looks the complete player to me? Good passer, physical, not afraid to run with the ball and not a fanny like most players these days. Every time I've seen him for England he's been good. |

He lacks vision, his passing technique is sloppy, rarely moves off the ball to make it easy for other teammates to find him and he generally doesn't create much or even get into goal scoring positions. Also makes very little effort to track back and gets tackled far too often because he holds onto the ball for too long.
Great player in so many ways, but his impact on the team is minimal for the most part in the attacking midfield position.

Fairy nuff you obviously watch him more than I do.
Does anyone bet on here? Bet365 have their £50 risk free bet offer back on for the United/Madrid game. Place a pre-match bet and they'll give you a risk free in-play bet (i.e. once the match has kicked off) to the same value of your pre-match bet to a limit of £50 (you still have to put the stake yourself but they refund it should the bet lose.) It's guaranteed profit: £50 on United pre-game @ 11/5 returns £160 (+£50 refunded) £50 risk-free bet in play on the draw @ 13/5 returns £180 £36 w/ William Hill on Real Madrid @ 13/10 returns £82.80 (+50 refunded) United win - £74 profit Draw - £44 profit Real Madrid win - £2.80 profit They did it for the first leg as well. |

I've been known to dabble in the betting world, not that I'm very good at it.
Chickened out last minute at lobbing £95 on Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City to go over this week, would have taken back around £430 on Paddy Power and it seemed highly likely all those teams would win, feared the Chelsea result though so bottled it. I don't get the Bet365 offer, you put £50 on and they'll refund it if it doesn't come up? How is that guaranteed profit? |

You put £50 on the United win, then £50 IN PLAY on the draw (then x amount with a different bookies on the Madrid win pre-game). The in play bet is refunded if it loses. Your total stake for all three bets would be £100 + whatever you put on Madrid to win. All the returns are higher than the total stake = profit. My numbers above are slightly incorrect, can tell I'm **** at maths. You'd be 3 or 4 quid down if Madrid win. Give me 5 minutes. I did this for the first leg and cos it was a draw it was £105 profit. |
