Rooney's been sussed. Over hyped because he's English.
Just got back from the Villa, sickening when Bradford scored. Very disappointed to see our fans throwing the flags on to the pitch and giving our own players abuse. I thought up until the Bradford goal the fans were fantastic. The flags were a bit embarrassing though and the 'Support Stan' 19th minute applause should stop now, he knows he's got our support. Oh and I saw fans leaving from 75 minutes-ish, I know it's frustrating but if we got one goal we could have got another. Bradford fans were fantastic also. Just disappointed we couldn't turn it around. |

Spurs completely overshadowed United at the weekend. If they had RvP it would have been about 5-0.
Pleased for The Bantams tonight although Villa are shocking. Hope Swansea can get through tomorrow and make a decent cup final. |

Yeah sad to see Villa lose it kind of at the death but they had some good chances, just couldn't put them away. I have to say though, even at home, Bradford looked like they wanted it more. I think Villa went on the pitch with an attitude of "look, there's a small chance we can turn it round but really we're gonna lose". And they did. Some shocking misses by Benteke, and where was Bent? When he got on the pitch I hardly even noticed. Gah!
You have to say though, fair play to Bradford. I like both them and Swansea: not sure who to root for in the final. Should be interesting. Chelsea deserved to go out, hardly put in any shift at all. And as for the ball-boy incident, well... comments?

Ballboy is a prick in my opinion. If that was any other 17 year old stopping someone from doing their job at their place of work, the country would be in full support of him getting a clip round the ear. We seem to think we should be able to get away with anything when it's directed at a footballer though.

Re. the ball boy incident: if Hazard was a teacher he would get at least five years in prison for physical assault. It seems that public servants are subject to the law in a way that does not apply to overseas professional footballers and politicians.

It's a real case of both of them being wrong.
Here's how he SHOULD have handled it in my opinion. Ballboy wont give back ball, appeal to officials, get extra few seconds added to game, maybe free kick, I dunno? Make the guy look stupid on TV. But to kick him --- even accidentally (and I don't think it was: I think he had a sly knock at the kid) --- is unacceptable. The ballboy should be dismissed and never allowed near the ground again. As Manish Bhasin said, two wrongs do not make a right... And now that idiot has almost 100,000 followers on Twitter? Are there that many stupid people in the world? Don't answer that.

It wasn't just him that was wasting time; all of the Swansea ball boys were doing it so it was obviously a Swansea policy.
I think the FA and Swansea have been a bit ****ish in not acknowledging this. Yes the ref was right and Hazard should have been sent off, but the Chelsea players were pointing out how Swansea were deliberately not returning the ball quick enough to the ref long before that incident. Perhaps because the tie was 180+ mins long he felt no need to intervene. Nevertheless, I was at a QPR match last year and QPR do exactly the same thing when they are in the lead. It's a ****, small club mentality thing to do, like how Stoke only provide towels for their players or how Chelsea move the advertising boards closer when they play Stoke. You don't see these **** tactics at some other clubs. And also you don't see the poor player/manager reactions by some other clubs. Some clubs need to take more responsibility in my opinion. However, that being said, I think the whole thing is pretty funny: perhaps some of Hazard's best friends are ball boys and Ashley Cole can defend him like with Terry.
