In other words, he's third, behind another striker who has played far less minutes than him and taken less shots at goal.

Rooney's form will return, no doubt about that!

As for Giggs...don't make me laugh. Anderson ran his heart out to cover for Giggs in midfield. He can't get close enough to the opposition, defensively, to begin with and allowed far too much space for West Ham to operate.
It's one of the reasons they ran United so close.
Ironically, he looked like the only player capable of creating chances.
In short, he had half a good game.
What like his "injury" in 2010 just before the World Cup? He wasn't injured at all, he was hauled off against Swansea because he was playing ****, he didn't play after then because something has gone on. Whether it's his step sister or something else, I don't know. Fergie has a long, long track record of saying Rooney is injured to protect him, particularly when United play Liverpool as Rooney bottles it against them every time.

Rooney has had a dip in form, yes. A three year dip in form starting from the World Cup in 2010, with the exception of a 3 week period at the start of last season when he scored back to back hat-tricks.

That Rooney is capable of moments of genius ala City 2011, Newcastle 2005, Portsmouth 2006, tricks people into thinking he's world class. He doesn't have these genius moments anywhere near often enough to justify his reputation.

He's also missed 5 of his last 9 penalties and it should be 6, as the one vs Braga should have been disallowed as he kicked it twice ffs

The signing of van Persie has made people realise how far away from 'world class' Rooney is. Ask yourself this, when was the last time he pulled the strings and was brilliant from start to finish like van Persie was vs Southampton or Giggs last night?

Have a word with yourself, son!
Rooney is a poor excuse for an athlete. Did you watch the Euros? Did you see him sweating buckets after about 5 minutes? He has admitted that he doesn't look after his fitness as well as he should do so I don't know why you're trying to argue against this.

In short, Rooney is a cock.

Far less would be around half.

Or EXACTLY 1086 - 598 = 488 minutes.

Rooney played 488 more minutes than hernandez to score one less goal.

If Hernandez was English I guarantee the media would be calling for him to start ahead of Rooney. Rooney gets away with murder, and the worst thing is after back to back diabolical performances (Swans and West Ham), he will walk into the team against Spurs at the weekend.

Ah, Villa do it again! Started off so well, then forgot there was another 45 minutes to go and just went home. Should have had that match sewn up by halftime, but instead they let Albion into it and ended up losing two extremely valuable points. A slight reprieve, but it could have been so much better, and I feel it IS only a reprieve; expect to see us slide back down next week.

As for Bradford? Does anyone think we'll turn it around? I mean, seriously?

Trollheart, face the inevitable. Villa are going down!
Their defence is utterly useless.

There was a chance in the 1st half to make it 3-0, can't remember who it fell to it really should have killed the game off.

1 point above the relegation zone, next game is Newcastle at home who are in nearly as much of a crisis as we are. It's another must-win game.
