There was nothing dangerous about it. I've seen harder tackles down my local youth club. People want to cut tackling out of the game altogether. Looks like you're in the minority Goofle; the FA don't rescind red cards unless they have to. They obviously agreed the ref got it wrong, nothing wrong with the tackle. Yellow card maybe, certainly not red.

I have to wonder, if this had been an Arsenal player would you still be so up in arms about it being "dangerous"?

It was a red, remember. The panel changed it because they disagreed with the decision based upon slow motion replays from different angles which made the challenge look less rash.

Really, the referee had still shown a red card? I thought decision made by the F.A could alter the space-time continuum and prevent that from happening.

They realised the referee made a mistake and decided it wasn't a red afterall, kompany doesn't get a red next to his name and it serves as an additional guideline for refs.

Also, me saying football would die was an exaggeration.
