Ridiculous little man. He acts like some kinda superstar on his twitter page, but he's a stain on the English game when all's said and done. Rangers really ought to sack him. No. Or at least he shouldn't. That's not just me being biased, but the man's on a learning curve - I (and my good buddy Dave Whelan) don't think he's ready for a bigger club just yet. If he takes the Liverpool job, he'll get his reputation dragged through the dirt just like Hodgson and Dalgish did before him. If Martinez is gonna go anywhere, the Villa hotseat would be a more doable destination for him. I'd much sooner see Rafa back in the driving seat at Anfield - his sacking was a really harsh one, I thought. Failing that, Capello or Villas-Boas to give Premier League management another shot. |

I'm happy to see Dalglish go, his handling of the Suarez and Evra incident was poor, especially after the infamous handshake (that never happened) between Suarez and Evra. In the post match interview he feigned ignorance of the incident and claimed he knew nothing about it, the rest of the stadium knew! His signings were both expensive and poor, I guess he was trying to bring in the cream of British talent, problem was it was mediocre talent, the results on the pitch were poor, they didn't score many goals and there were too many defeats. What did he have to show for this season? The Carling Cup, a third rate competition for clubs that don't really care a crap about it t unless they just happen to get to the final. Bye Bye Dalglish you won't be misssed by me.

Andy Carroll? Seriously? Shocking squad and why oh why is Baines included? Oh yeah because he has a left foot. FFS.
So it will be Gerrard and Lampard in midfield as usual who can't play together and don't actually like each other either. **** booking time off work for the games, really not worth it.

France have the best individual players of the group, Sweden are always solid and Ukraine are the hosts with fanatical support, it doesn't look good for us does it? But Andy Carroll could strike the fear of God into all of them, just how are opposing defenders going to deal with his physical threat

As a neutral going into the tournament. I think I'm going to back Russia.
A solid squad, with some quality stand-out players who utilize a high standard of passing and progressive play. They've got an easy enough group and I think are capable of pulling off a shock and winning the whole thing. Most bookies are taking them at around 20/1 to be outright winners. |
