Blackpool will stay up, havent they renewed your faith in Premier league football, c'mon the tangerines.
All the reds in here that think the 5 year deal Gooneys just signed will keep him happy and at United your diluded. He wants to go and play somewhere else, giving him the huge wage they have just makes it more difficult to sign him coz you'd have to at least match his salary, and as Im sure we can all agree there arnt that many clubs that could afford the massive wage he's on. If youre a red and your happy with having a player that doesnt really want to be there but cant leave until someone offers him a better deal maybe you should think about what it is you love about yer club. Glory hunters 90% of Man u fans and real Man U fans dont mind admitting it. Marching on together.......... |

Typical! A one line reference to your own club followed by the usual over long, seething and incoherent drivel aimed at United. Come back when your big enough and successful enough to play with the big boys. Do yourself a favour and stick to loving that footballing non-entity you call your own club, instead of hating on others you have nothing to do with, Percy Last edited by right-track; 11-02-2010 at 12:45 PM. |

But in your short stay here you've proved you know very little about music, and now you're proving you know very little about football. 90% of Man United fans are glory hunters? Did you know 73% of people make up fake statistics to validate their point? - you're one of them. If you're a big club winning big things - you're bound to have plastic fans. I don't tolerate them, I fucking loathe them. But they are in the minority. Chelsea's fan base went from being non-existent to one of the biggest in the world. People from Manchester has (well, it did in 2008) more United fans with season tickets than Manchester City fans. "maybe you should think about what it is you love about yer club" Why would Wayne Rooney be a reason for me to re-evaluate my love for the club? He hasn't turned up this season anyway, and we're still competing in Europe and we're third in the league, level on points with Arsenal who are second. |

He seems to forget that United have averaged the highest league attendances, almost without exception, since God knows when.
Shock horror...even during 25 barren years of failing to win the league. Hardly glory hunters! Just to finally, once and for all, lay the "City have more fans than United in Manchester", myth. STATS: United vs City – The Best Supported Club Since The 1940’s and Before Premiership? If you take a look at the graph, you'll see United's average attendances are in the 50,000's between 74 and 87. This includes the season United spent in Division 2 with an average attendance higher than any other English club in all divisions for that season. Wonder how many Blackpool were averaging a couple of years ago? |

I seem to remember them doing a survey a couple of years ago about which team in the premier league had the highest percentage of season ticket holders from outside of their town or city.
Liverpool actually came top because a huge majority of their season ticket holders were from Southport, Bootle, Toxteth, Birkenhead & St Helens.

I think Liverpool have the most nationwide fan clubs too.
Here's the City/United graph for those who are lazy; The most interesting stat shows the post war years when United shared City's ground due the Blitz bombing of Old Trafford. United averaged higher attendances than City...in their own ground! I think that should lay the myth to rest, conclusively. Last edited by right-track; 11-02-2010 at 01:16 PM. |

Erm........ If you knew yer football and yer football fans you'd know Im not a Blackpool fan.
Just for the record, what exactly did i say about the Rooney thing that was wrong? Why do United fans always have to get so defensive, Did i say Rooney was a bad player? did i say United have a crap team? did i say United are a crap club? No i dont think i did. All i said was from what ive seen over the last 2 or so weeks he wanted to leave, he stayed because United offered him a massive wage his words not mine. I can see why Fergie gave him the wage 2 reasons spring to mind 1 it makes it harder for anyone to sign him, not just because hes on a 5 year deal but because of the enormous wage and 2 If Fergie had of sold him the morons in charge at United probably wouldnt have given Fergie the money to spend on a replacement. They didnt really replace Ronaldo did they, lets be honest Uniteds team isnt what it once was and they dont seem to be spending the big money do they, not compared to other clubs around Europe its been like that for a couple of seasons. jeeeeez |

Find out how many people just in the UK alone say they are United fans and have never been to a United game and i bet 90% isnt far from the truth. This isnt a dig at United this is a dig at glory hunters. |

You spouted drivel about Rooney, when really - no one knows what went on and you also claimed 90% of United fans were glory supporters. My post, and RT's for that matter addressed your ludicrous claim that 90 of United fans are "glory supporters" And then I simply asked what the Rooney saga had to do with my love for the club? Quote:
And I've already said I hate plastic United fans. But you've already made up fake statistics today "99% of metal" and now you're doing it again. Manchester is red. FACT: 72% of all our season ticket holders (19,788) come from the North West. More so than City. Not to mention those that aren't season ticket holders and go as regular as they can. Your argument really does hold no weight, everyone hates plastic supporters. But they're in the minority, from a UK stand point. Last edited by TheCunningStunt; 11-02-2010 at 01:50 PM. |
