Believe it or not it is not my wishes at all and despite the obvious Man U- Liverpool hatred it is sad to see yet another institution suffering through mis management.
I dislike Liverpool nearly as much as Man U for their egotistical inflated self important flatulence as the next guy but they are still the lifeblood of one half of the city both emotionally and commercially and I wouldn't like to see them humbled.

Egotistical, inflated self importance?
You're talking about the 2 most successful clubs in English football! Just for the record... Manchester United: Turnover £252 M Wages: £121 M Aston Villa: Turnover: £75 M Wages: £50 M |

I don't see why Liverpool fans are bitching so much.
Their club in the past 5 years have spent more money on players than any other club save Chelsea. Don't blame the owners, blame the crap management.

I don't think for one single minute that the average scouser would offer United any quarter if the roles were reversed. Lee...I don't know if you're aware of Villa's £70+ debt? How are you going to clear that with no success on the field? People need to look a bit closer to home. As for United's debt, this year was a record profit making year. The debts were record breaking too, but the difference being is that the debt is being serviced. If things go badly wrong there are still people queuing up to buy United. |

It doesn't mean that Man U are immune from any criticism levelled their way and that's what get's up the noses of other football fans. It's like saying that there is only one band in the world and how dare we criticise them because of that? We know Man U are the most successful team of the modern era but it is boring and they are not without their problems these days. Despite making 80 mill on Ronaldo the money wasn't spent a great deal and you made a loss of 80 mill too this year. We notice these things

My understanding: the only reason people (potential buyers) aren't forcing the issue at the moment is because the price is too high. If things went tits up, the price would also go tits up. Quote:
Fergie time, Cockney reds etc. I've heard it all, people don't seem to understand our success isn't like Chelsea's or (potentially City's) - we were a PTC in the years we were successful in the 90s, up until 2005... Buying players like Ole and Cantona and the best criticism some people can come up with is ****ney reds People also don't understand with success, it brings a global fanbase. |

Man u fans just cannot handle anything levelled at their team and always roll out the jealously card when they are questioned about any aspect of their team.
