BBC Sport - Football - Jason Scotland finalises Ipswich Town switch
Fucking A. Not so sure about this one though; BBC Sport - Football - Steven Caldwell joins brother Gary at Wigan I mean, it's good that Bobby Martinez is trying to bolster the defence (which obviously needs doing), but a relegated centre-back (who, incidentally, has been without a club all summer) with the pace and turning ability of a beached turtle? Hopefully I'll be proven wrong, but I'd rather see Bobby go after someone like Curtis Davies. I like the look of Alcaraz and Ronnie Stam, but we let Bramble go for a pittance (why?!!!), and Maynor Figueroa's playing like he just doesn't give a shit, so we need another left-back pronto as well. There've been links with PSV's Carlos Salcido, and I really hope they've got substance, as he's a guy I'd love to see at the DW. |

BBC Sport - Football - Birmingham make improved bid for Charles N'Zogbia
Let him go I say. The lad's been playing like a drain lately, and the last thing they need at the DW's another fella who's wasting the wage bill not wanting to be there. Use the money to bring in a good centre back like Stephen Taylor (who Newcastle have just put up for sale), Carlos Salcido from PSV, get transfer-listed Jason Roberts back from Blackburn, and then boom! - here comes one more season of confounding all those jealous Leeds and Forest supporters out there |

N'Zogbia is more than happy to give his club absolutely nothing or refuse to play until they sell him. I would let him go. He has had flashes of brilliance at Wigan but i definitely dont think he has been good or consistent enough to worry too much about it. He wants out, let him go.

Yeah, he was one of our few consistent performers last season, but from what I've seen he's just simply gotta go. My only worry is that we'll get a good 8-10mil for him, but Dave Whelan still has Bobby Martinez making bargain-bin transfers, like when we got a combined 25mil for Palacios and Valencia last the season before last but spent barely a fraction of it. I guess we'll see.

At least I hope so, or blood will flow. Arsenal's group looks like a formality and I'd expect all the English clubs to progress to the knockout stages. That includes Spurs. Group G looks like the most unpredictable group of them all. AC Milan aren't unbeatable and Real Madrid are famous for disappointing, while Ajax and Auxerre won't be push overs. |
