I am indeed. I'm a mackem. It's way too early for me concentrate on Newcastles season as i'm much more concerned about our own but safe to say i'll be a Red on Monday night!

As i'm sure you can imagine, it was glorious to see the fortunes of our two clubs reversed a couple of years back when the toon were relegated but i did miss the derby days last season!

I didn't miss the derbies! being down here seems to exagerate the tension,
funny, the only time I want the Mancs to win is when they are playing you lot!
Best thing to come out of Sunderland...Leatherface, lead singer is a proper Mackem too he walked out of a SLF gig in Newcastle because the crowd were singing "Maggie" Songs.
Well I hope you lose on saturday !

Manchester United sign £7.4m Portuguese striker Bebe

Bebe likes this.

TheCunningStunt doesn't, well - I don't get it. Reports are he's a striker. We'll see, in Fergie we trust etc.

Predictions time!

1. Chelsea
2. Man U
3. Arsenal
4. Liverpool

Boring top 4. Chelsea lost some players but they didn't have an enormous impact anyway so i think they'll pip Man U once again. Arsenal and especially Liverpool will improve but not quite enough.

Relgation:

Wigan
West Brom
Blackpool

Sorry Bulldog, i think Wigan's luck will run out, might have the first manager casualty as well. West Brom will do their normal pogo act and Blackpool won't go before embarassing one of the top 4, i hope!

Dark horse: Bolton.

Not for me. I thought Chelsea would pip us to the title again, but I feel we've found new hunger. And I actually think both squads are really similar, last season we both had our struggles with injuries but come Christmas time we had 2 defenders and Rooney picked up a knock at a really unfortunate time. (All hindsight I know.) But we lost out by 1 point after the media completely wrote us off, they predicted us to not even finish in the top 4.

1. Manchester United
2. Chelsea
3. Arsenal.
4. Manchester City

I don't remember ever reading anything like that.

On the other side Chelsea dropped most of their points due to the African cup. If the same scale of injuries take place i think Chelsea will still edge it, they had a few problems in that department themselves.

I do, and now it's come around again. Completely written off, but I believe that's when we're at our best.

New found hunger, plus I think Ballack and Cole are two massive loses for them. I think Cole > Bennymoon.

I think success could come down to how well Hernandez does, he's shown his class in the world cup and pre season... if he can show it in the premier league with 10-12 goals, I think that could make the difference. Someone to come in and do the job against 'smaller' teams rather than doing what we did last season - relying on Rooney. I think Carrick needs to wake up because he was an abomination last season, I also think Cleverly could/should play some part this season. Youthful energy.

I know it's easy to say oh well had injuries etc.

I know they did as well, and they deserved their title. But I do feel we were hit worse, but that's just excuses - you should have the strength in depth to deal with it. It's about what we do this season.

And I just sense a new found hunger and desire. Who do you support PMO?

I do quite like Benayoun personally, i'm not sure if he's quite as good as Cole but it's not a bad substitute. I have Hernandez in my fantasy teams so i do hope he he scores lots more graceful goals.

I support Norwich City, don't think we have the same title hopes oddly enough.

Cole + 5.5m for Liverpool is a great bit of business, I have a feeling Hernandez will do really well. I hope he starts on Monday against Newcastle.

I'm so excited, this summer has gone so slowly, it feels like forever since I've been to Old Trafford when I was only there in May.

I love Norwich, mainly due to Delia Smith's infamous "WHERE ARE YOU?"
