Our club has gone into administation something like 5 times in the last decade.

I remember about 10 years ago we were sitting on top of the championship at Christmas, we ended up having to sell all our best players to pay off debts in the first couple of months of the year & didn't win a game for the rest of the season. We finished 18th that year and narrowly avoided relegation.

And once the chairman we had quit because he decided he'd rather go mountaineering in the Himalayas that be the chairman of Swindon.

We're anything but stable.

That's good news, I feel confident about getting a result when we're up shits creek! 6 points a season there.

Sounds like life as a Swindon fan is pretty damn tough. I take it they're looking to be contenders to get back to the Championship this season?

You couldn't get a result against us last time you came to our place.

2 . 2 draw. Cantona sent off for wiping the mud off his studs across John Moncur's face.

We couldn't get a result at Burnley last season, or against Leeds.

I'd fancy our chances if we came up against either in the cup this season.

Eric, what a brilliant brilliant footballer. Not a bad psycho either.

Well, he did get sent off twice in half a season with us. Particularly annyoing was the red card he got against Chelski who went on to score 7 past us after he went off. Otherwise he's looked quite solid when he can stay on the pitch for 90 minutes. He even managed a goal against Aston Villa, which I thought was kinda cool. Good or bad as he is though, we definitely need some good quality defensive cover. The way I see it, unless Bobby Martinez makes some good signings very soon, the only quality central defenders he'll have at his disposal are Caldwell and Alcaraz (who could go one way or the other to be honest). A long-term injury to either of them and we're screwed.

"Defour agent waiting for Manchester United bid‎."

We're so poor, we're signing agents instead of players. Sad times.

Hernandez scores against United in a pre season friendly for his former club, he's playing for us in the second half. Cheeky little bastard.

I think Fergie has stuck gold with this signing though, left foot finish. He looks so composed.

He has to be third choice behind Rooney and Berbatov.

Just read this on the 606 boards, RE the England squad for the Hungary game;

Quote:
Please can someone help me understand this.

Capello keeps players such as...

The Saboteur:
John Terry,

The Non-defending defender:
Glen Johnson,

The defensive midfielder with the passing vision of a bat and the sprint speed of an injured pensioner:
Gareth Barry

The fat useless one:
Frank Lampard

The positionally confused midfielder and massively UNinspiring captain:
Steven Gerrard,

And the huffy, puffy, uninterested, ogre-like, supposed star player with the 'golden' first touch of a wooden chair and the desire and tenacity of a sloth (but of course, ONLY AT WORLD CUPS! ;D):
Wayne Rooney...

but he DROPS DEFOE?!?!?!?!...

WHAT.IS.WRONG.WITH.FABIO???
^ A bit harsh on Rooney and Johnson, but otherwise sums up my thoughts on the matter nicely.

Also...

BBC Sport - Football - Cardiff City complete Jason Koumas loan move

^ That's one more waste of space done away with.

All we've gotta do is ship out Edman, Stoijkovic and Scotland in time for the start of the season and that's me satisfied.
