What do our resident Man U fans make of all this talk of Fergie stepping down in 2011? Usually, I'd cast it off as tabloid rubbish (and last time I checked nothing's been confirmed in the form of a BBC article), but they're really persisting with the rumour, and sites like Football365 are picking up the story as well.

This is a story run by The Sun newspaper claiming Fergie has named his successor as David Moyes.
The Moyes connection may have some truth to it, but it's old news. Obviously, it won't be too long before Ferguson steps down and retires from football management and Moyes has been a firm favourite for a couple of years and Mourinho has reportedly put his name in the frame too. Interestingly enough, the story run by The Sun contains no quotes from the man himself! Says it all really. Typical Sun. Making an old story, news. |

Yeah, I was thinking as much. I remember reading tabloid headlines once upon a time that Alan Shearer and Terry Venebles were due to be joint-England managers - as you say, says it all. If nothing else, it's always a laugh to see what god-awful puns they come up for the 'stories' as well.

Well it looks like Hull are going down doesn't it? Let's hope Villa finish as high as they can.

I've just found out something outstanding. Alan Smith hasn't scored for Newcastle.
He's played for Newcastle United 77 times and has scored 0 goals. He's scored 11 times since 2004 and they were all for United. |

I'll do you one better..
Come good just at the right time, had a great run in. Well done Nani, I once wrote you off calling you a useless tosser. You've proven your price tag with today's goal. Could prove to be essential, Berbatov is yet to score that goal to justify his. Even though he's still as frustrating as fuck, here's to hoping he gets even better. |

Yeah, I remember a load of my mates who just happened to be Man U fans really giving Nani a lot of stick when he first signed and, to be honest, it was deseved too. Looks like he's developed into a much more consistent player now.
And, 3-2 West Ham now. Bah humbug! I'm still 100% convinced we're staying up though, so I ain't worried in the slightest, especially if Sunderland can hang on at Hull. On that note, wouldn't it be hilarious is we were responsible for handing Man U the title (again) by beating Chelsea at the Bridge on the last day of the season... |

His first season was reasonable, second was dire. Third started really badly and then he got an injury and came back a new player and helped spark our title campaign. Really pleased for him, I just hope his 4th will be even better, cut out the silly decisions.
You lot will stay up, Pompy, Burnley and Hull to go down I believe. |
