I don't think you can have a carbon copy of their midfield, but that's THE formation you want to play. 4-3-3, 3 players who can change roles and are unmarkable with 2 players pulling the stringsin midfield and the other midfielder breaking up the play.

United's remaining fixtures;
A. Man City H. Spurs A. Sunderland H. Stoke Chelsea's remaining fixtures; A. Spurs H. Stoke A. Liverpoo H. Wigan If United win all their remaining matches. City away on Saturday being the tricky one. And Chelsea lose any one of either the Liverpoo or Spurs game aaaaand fail to win in the other...United win the League by 1 point! Easy. |

They have. I feel Chelsea are gonna do the double. Friends of mine from the blue side of the City were saying in August United aren't good enough, Michael Owen is crap, Valencia is a Wigan player ete. Chelsea are the new champions, and I reminded them that WE are still champions and we will do our best to defend it. But now I feel it's Chelsea's title to lose.

Its definitely Chelsea's to lose but I wouldn't be setting it in stone just yet. Chelsea have been a cut above the rest this season but none of the top 3 have exactly had a dominant season. It's not Chelsea haven't given plenty of opportunities but when they do it's like no one wants to take advantage of that.
If Man United or Arsenal manage to win the rest of their games and not drop another point, i feel Chelsea have one more slip up in them at least. |

If this season doesn't happen. It's how do you bounce back? Signing an unproven defender in Smalling and an unheard of striker in Hernandez is not the way to do that IMO.. but who am I to question fergie? Even though recently his signings have been a little |

I'm not as down on Owen as you seem to be, but then again im not a United fan so have a neutrals perspective. Alot of people said he was a gamble. I dont see how but if he was a gamble then he was well worth the risk in my opinon. Yes, he's injury prone and is injured again but he's a proven talent and a natural goalscorer and has even managed a few goals for you lot even though he's never been an integral part of the system.
I can understand your problems with that signing though. Dont get me wrong. Signing just one striker, and an injury prone one at that probably wasn't every United fans dream! Also Fergie seems to choose Berbatov and then either Rooney or Owen to pair with him and so thats a no brainer. Its a shame because of course Owen isn't gonna say no when Man United come calling but if he could stay fit he could be making such a difference at a club that needed a striker like Michael Owen to lead the line. |
