Lets dissect this, firstly Holland have never won the World Cup so their great first touch is not the be all and end all!!!

As for the players you mentioned, which all come from different countries so its hardly a fair comparison. These following players all come from the same country and are/were world class: Rooney, Gerrard, Keegan, Gascoigne, Beardsley, Hoddle and Brooking to name just a few, in fact I could be here all night too.

Of the players that you mentioned, only the Laudrup brothers were world class talents, the others just good international players.

If you want fair comparisons then Holland's population isn't a huge amount more than Scotland.

How many world class players have they bought through since Scotland's last world class player in Kenny Dalglish?

Kenny dalgiesh was a one of, Scotland aren't blessed with football talent, we accept this, the English confuse ordinary players with more talent than they actually possess, this is another reason they fall flat on their over rated egos, then the pressure put on them by the media and public, which they obviously can't handle , this is called bottling it..

The only person that seems confused is you, nobody here has stated that England have an abundance of world class players, its commonly known that we have about 3 or 4 and thats it! The problem is, after years of bitterness towards all things English your judgement is seriously affected, I suppose growing up in a goldfish bowl, where everything is either green or blue could easily do that.

Didn't you call some bloke who plays for a mid-table Championship side a world class player a couple of posts back?

He seems to be a bigshot for Blackpool and surprise, surprise he was also part of the Rangers youth system.

As opposed to Scotland going out at the first round of every major championship they've ever made?
Even Ireland give a better account of themselves than that.
