Rooney was alive all night. The sudden activity towards the end of the match had more to do with City sitting back and consolidating what they had. To be honest Diouf looked more dangerous than Owen.

Well what a match. 6-4. I think Blackburn outplayed us at times. Bring on the final. City please

Incredible game i agree. Great stuff to watch. I think it was a fairly even game. Both teams had spells that they dominated.

Infuriating that matches like this have to conincide with me having to do oodles of work but what a match nonetheless! A lot of respect to Blackburn, against a much stronger team they still picked themselves up and fought on. Great stuff.

Thankfully we made it to the final After 20 minutes of the game I was not so confident, blackburn 2 goals up and Guzan was in the bush...

We`ve probably got the strangest league for many year at the moment where Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester Utd are making it a three horse race. None of the teams overly convince and have weaknesses. Arsenal are the most interesting, because the team are now showing a level of commitment that you would normally associate with Man.Utd, in as much, as they often come from behind or score late goals that grab vital points, things that are key to winning a championship.

If any of the other teams such as Liverpool, Tottenham, Villa and Man.city etc were able to bridge the gap between 3rd and 4th the race would become even more interesting.

Definitely a much more interesting title race for the neutral than usual, but I'm not sure about it being the most riveting I've ever watched unfold. 2007-08's gonna take some beating - non-stop tension and excitement, right down to literally the last 10 minutes of the season too.

Arsenal are capitalising on middle of the road results from both Chelsea and Man Utd, neither club are exactly in what you would normally call championship form. Arsenal are too weak overall at the back to contend i think but its good to see them making it more interesting in the meantime.
