Chelsea are very dependent on their transfers, especially if you compare them to the other big clubs and the youth players they have come through, so this might hit them hard. A year and half of no transfers is a wee bit harsh though, surely?

A bit rich coming from the likes of Platini after he encouraged Ronaldo to sign for Madrid.

Platini is a prick who has obvious disdain for the English game, yet as you say he has encouraged this himself and if Chelsea have these sanctions imposed then most other major teams need to be looked at too in all honesty.

Yeah. Whatever happened to the "slavery" philosophy these tossers were bandying around?

But it's fine for Italian clubs to go around fixing matches.

Oh wait, Who did Platini used to play for?

If it's Juve you're hinting at, they were demoted to Serie B and their squad lost most of its best players.

A far too soft punishment in my opinion, Getting relegated is something to do to clubs who go into administation, match fixing should have a much harsher penalty..
They should have at least got a European ban.

Hey, I'm Romanista and despise Giuve as much as anyone, but the Calciopoli case was conducted in a very clumsy manner which made the whole thing look rigged.

Anyway, I hope you're not blaming Italian football in general for this, after all, the ones who suffered were the other Italian clubs in Serie A.

England-Slovenia tonight. Only a friendly, but I'll be using it as a good chance to warm up my yelling voice in time for Wednesday :D
