I really hope Adebayor does go City. The bloke has about as much passion for the game as The Queen. £25m will do nicely.

Losing Adebayor is not a great loss, I was never a big fan of the guy anyway. Us Gunners can underachieve quite well without him.

Ferguson claims he contacted Chelsea and United in a last ditch attempt to avoid going to City...after he agreed terms.

I noticed the mind games have started again . I don't know what Villa are playing at. First Barry going then Zat Knight. Granted he's not all that but we are short at the back as it is and rumours that Gardner may go too. who comes in? downing who can't play until December . We are supposed to be strengthening not stripping the already small squad further.

They're going for Jenas but that's hardly an incredible signing.

I know the feeling - I'm not exactly impressed with Roberto Martinez's new signings at Wigan either. Jason Scotland (who'll turn out to be either a genius or a disaster, my money's on the latter), an 18 year-old centre-mid and and two more midfielders besides (when anyone can tell it's up front that needs major tweaking) don't exactly leave me brimming with confidence. I've been wrong before though, and hopefully it'll be the same story here. One way to find out eh.

The crack about Adebayor was only the half of it.

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | M | Man Utd | Man City a small club - Ferguson

This new season is going to be interesting to say the least.

Top 5 predictions time.

1. United
2. Chelsea
3. Arsenal
4. Liverpool
5. Everton
