BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | M | Man City | Man City snap up Barry for £12m

So it looks like money has caught his eyes then after all.

Gutted he's been sold but after he has gone there it's a little more pleasing as I don't think they will be up there next season either and that's good money too.

I don't know. I think that's a sensible buy for City.
Far better than to try and bring in a big foriegn name and go instead for an established and experienced Premier League player. It'll definately strengthen City's team. Bit pricey, but for them, affordable.

Depends what other players he buys. Could be a building season for them to be fair. 12 mill is nice money though for a player that only cost 400,000!

It's going to have to be.
With no European football next season what big names will sign?
They will be guaranteed no European football for a full season with only an outside, to little of no chance of making the Champions League for the next.

I'm just pissed off Steve Bruce is more than likely going to Sunderland. If anyone's in for a rebuilding season, if not a relegation dogfight, it's Wigan

I was hoping so. I used to think so much more of the guy.

It's not a done deal yet, but we're being linked with Swansea's Roberto Martinez as a replacement. He has potential, but I'm not so sure he's ready for the step up to Premier League management. As I say, with all this and Valencia's inevitable departure, things aren't exactly looking good for us next season.

EDIT - That bastard

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | S | Sunderland | Bruce named as Sunderland manager

BBC SPORT | Football | Internationals | Kazakhstan 0-4 England

4-0 to England, 8 successive world cup qualifier wins and another very good-looking scoreline. It'll take something out of the Twilight Zone to stop us qualifying now.
