I wouldnt say theres no expectation, the longer you remain in the top 4 and the closer it gets to the crunch the pressure will build and fan expectation will rise. This all happened with Spurs 2-3 years ago, exactly the same as Villa and we got them at the death. I'd rather not be in this situation, its irritating that we arent going for the title, but with the players we have that are due to come back, the player(s) coming in, and the superior experience (and, in my opinion overall quality), i think we'll do it.

That said I do agree Villa are looking good for the future, if you can keep hold of your key players and get a cash injection to strengthen the squad, it'll be a top 5 before too long.

Its a tough one. Man United have to tire, they have played so many games that it has to catch up with them sooner or later. Arsenal are in form that will either get them 4th place or even 5th in my opinion. Chelsea and Liverpool arent playing consistent football.

My prediction is
1. Man Utd
2. Liverpool
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal

But Villa could well take Arsenals spot in 4th yet. On current form id tip Villa over Arsenal but Arsenal have a more impressive bench.

Not as much as defenders like being made a fool of. ;)

Bless em.

Torres (the fat waiter's friend) adds to the Rafa mind games and raises it a notch with this psychological broadside.

"They (United) are the favourites and the champions right now and have shown over the years they are a very powerful team," said the 24-year-old Spaniard.

"They have two more games to play. If they catch up they will be top."

Thank you Captain Obvious!

Oh rafa has lost it big time. What he says is true TBH but that's what Fergie does. He likes to wind people up. Ronaldo deserved the crown for sure but he should stop being such a whingy little git and take the tacles like a man.

Even when he does get fouled the ref will tell him to get up at least 50% of the time. Brought it on himself though. Whenever I see him hit the deck I must admit I just assume he dived even before I've seen a replay.

Valencia is promising too.

Oh and 3-0 Utd today? Well deserved. Any team that can walk through Chelsea like that deserves to win the league.

for that match, i must say, man-u played well. seriously, what's our defense doing?!!! DD really should stop being a drama-mama.... :soapbox:

Chelsea are looking really poor and not just because of the loss at the weekend. Their home record is terrible.

Steven Gerrard has apologised for his recent behaviour in a Liverpool nightclub. He says he knows that he is a role model for the youth of Liverpool, and bitterly regrets not knifing the cunt and nicking his car
