I know, it's not a 'sports car', but there's no thread for 'Jeeps', and I don't feel like starting one since I'll probably be the only one posting in it. Phhht. Screw that.
I took this bad boy out for a test drive yesterday. 2018 Wrangler Sahara 285hp V6 and loaded with just about every available option you can get. Not a big fan of the green though. If I do pull the trigger, it'll be a grey one just like it. ![]()

never really got the jeep craze, but that’s a decent looking rig.
i was looking at a 2011 wrangler v6 6 spd recently and the price was almost good enough for me to make an offer but it ended up selling before i could make up my mind. how did that one handle on the road? my biggest beef with jeeps has been that they’ve never been great with highway driving.

A little spongy but a way better ride than any other year previous, even with the lift kit and bigger tires doing 70+ wasn't a grab and hang on. It was pleasant.

I like the look of a jeep too, but not those fancy modern ones that you could take your grandma to church in. To live the full military-macho dream, a jeep must be free of fancy extras and be as uncomfortable as possible:-
![]() ^ On the streets here it's still possible to see a vehicle like this being driven around and on two occasions I was lucky enough to be given a ride in one. The door feels like you're closing a garden gate and the interiors are austere; the dash is a flat piece of metal with about one switch and an old circular speedometer. A student of mine had one, which had a couple of drainholes in the floor and no roof. His tip: when it rains you must keep moving - you only get wet when you stop.

Hubby and I have figured, why not, and am now purchasing a Kia Stinger 3.3 GT Because, honestly..why not? I figure, the environment is going to pot anyways and, it is a fun car. But because there is a big tax on the amount of CO2 your car produces here, a new Kia Stinger will cost alot more then one produced the same year but earlier so we are looking at both new and used. But it is such a nice car and you can get it with a red nappa leather interior. For the price, totally worth it. And it has sport mode
