Here is one of these huge tarantulas kept as a pet. The one I had was pretty damn big but this one is f-ucking huge! And listen to it walk! You can actually hear it walk!

Spider silk has more tensile strength than steel. It would make ideal fabric but simply isn't plentiful enough. A garment made from spider silk would be impossible for the average person to afford. Reconstructed image of a fossilized spider preserved in amber hundreds of millions of years ago. While it may look like an oil painting, this is a fossilized specimen from China several million years old. Trapdoor spider classified as Myrmekiaphila neilyoungi. Yes, it is named after Neil Young--for which he is quite proud. |

I came to this thread to be a smartass but now I see the critical error I have made as an arachnophobe in scrolling through these posts right before bed. I don't blame you I blame me. You do you, I'll do me, and we won't do eachother. Probably. I don't want to derail your thread so here's a pic of a spider dick I stumbled across a few weeks ago enjoy

This is the spider that infests my house and crawls across my bed. This is its actual size. This is what happens when it bites you. And then. Spoiler for NSFW:
This is what it does to children and the elderly. This is me. You scurred?
